We built the original site for Eastside Lumber & Decking in 2009 — before responsive design was a thing. Technically, it’s held up all of these years, but appeared dated compared to current trends and the process for making updates was inefficient.
With their move to a new location, we felt it was a good time to update their web presence.
Goals of the redesign included: improve the experience, especially for mobile devices where potential customers might be accessing their website from job sites, introduce the new location, and modernize the design.
The new site takes advantage of the block editor in WordPress, which should make adding and editing content more efficient. We also added a more comprehensive product list that’s easier to scan, clear calls-to-action with visible contact info, and the site now scales across all devices for a seamless browsing experience.
